Instruction for how to replace the cotton swab: 1, Hold the plastic tube on the outside of the cotton swab, gently rotate and pull it out. Replace it with a replacement cotton swab. Note that there is a small spring device in the plastic tube. Do not drop it when pulling it out, otherwise the product will not work. 2, Replace the cotton swab, and then carefully insert the plastic tube into its position. Then pay attention to adding water to allow the new cotton swab to absorb water. And let the cotton swab completely wet before spraying. For Cotton Swab: Actually there is no need to replacement if the cotton swab and the whole humidifier works well. We sent 4 free-gift cotton swabs in the package in the purpose that occassionally the cotton swabs cannot fits the ultrasonic mechanism well. Warm tips: TOO MUCH oil essential(but not the suggested drops of essential) which would shorten the cotton swabs' lifetime. If the cotton swabs work OK but you would not use the humidifier in the near future(maybe weeks or months), we suggest you take out the swabs and dry them before storaging.
